Abandoned Tallest Buildings on Earth
These are some of the tallest abandoned structures built on Earth. Each of them having a certain story behind their existence.
They range all over the globe from Moscow to Detroit, pictures taken from different angles and floors.
PS3 has hidden agenda
Every wonder when the Playstation 3 will be utilized properly, this just proved it has. This happened when one of the controllers was out-of-charge and requested to be charged in one of Japan’s cinema theater. It looks like film have been replaced by Playstation 3. Interesting you would be watching a Blue-Ray movie but would not know.
Kitchen and hardware tools used to create amazing steampunk worlds
At first glance, David Trautimas’s photographs seem to depict steampunk worlds with odd shapes and designs. Once you look closer, however, you find that Trautimas has created a world made up of re-purposed kitchen and hardware items that have been brought together to create some sort of crazy industrial design.
Dubbed “Habitat Machines”, the series is inspiring in its detail and shows how much you can get out of things lying around your house.
Cosplayers strut it at PAX ‘09
You know you’re at a convention when you come across strange costumed men and women prancing around in tights and highly ridiculous clothing. Penny Arcade Expo is one such convention where you will be sure to meet smelly nerds and geeks and whatnot… and come to love the whole experience!
Seeing as how most of us can’t make it to the expo, Kotaku was kind enough to take pictures of cosplayers, and damn, some of them are wonderful. Click through for more shock/delight.
There’s more love in this picture than it appears

What’s wrong with the above picture? Both models are nicely posed, there’s great sunlight, and, of course, smiles all around. And they appear to be in love even after all these years. But there’s more “love” in that picture than you can find at your first glance.
There are two donkeys making sweet love in the background. Oh yes, they are.
Julie Ziesemann was the photographer who froze this moment. And no, she didn’t notice it while shooting, nor while editing.
I’ve never laughed so hard in a long time. Heck, I’d pay to see the faces of those two when she shows them the portrait!
Neil Gaiman’s library is every bit as awesome as him!

Neil Gaiman is quite possibly one of the best writers on the planet, responsible for the phenomenal (and quite literary) Sandman graphic novel, American Gods and most recently The Graveyard Book. It is certainly expected that his library would be quite extensive and in one word “awesome”.
Pictures from his library have now popped up online, and as Shelfari puts it, it is “more extensive and incredible than I ever imagined.” Realized in the photos are wall-to-wall shelves filled with books from floor-to-ceiling. Damn, there are books on the sofas even!
Be sure to check out the pictures and feel free to be jealous. I know I am!
Study: men become stupid in front of attractive women
You can now blame attractive women for your stupid antics! Psychological researchers at Radboud University in the Netherlands have conducted a study that concluded that men do lose their minds when in the presence of attractive women. Here’s the scoop:
To see if other men were affected in the same way, they recruited 40 male heterosexual students.
Each one performed a standard memory test where they had to observe a stream of letters and say, as fast as possible, if each one was the same as the one before last.
The volunteers then spent seven minutes chatting to male or female members of the research team before repeating the test.
The results showed men were slower and less accurate after trying to impress the women. The more they fancied them, the worse their score.
Unfortunately for us men, women do not fall over themselves when talking to attractive men. Damn you, evolution!
Sci-fi corridors get studied, conclusion: they’re curvy

We’ve all seen sci-fi movies, be they awesome or superbly lame. One thing that is common across all movies in the genre is the corridors that define the film’s attitude and character.
Den of Geek takes a look at corridors from various films over the decades, poring over every detail of vacuum-filled sections of movies that we’ve all come to love and hate. His exhaustive study ranges from Aliens to the more-recent Solaris.
Airplane graveyard photos show scenes of mechanical death and decay
Where do planes go when they die? Surely there has to be a plane heaven, but where would that exist? Mojave Air and Spaceport, where else!
The place has been in lockdown since 9/11 and has a high-security perimeter that doesn’t allow any civilians inside the base. It is now used as a parking lot for planes and also a junkyard of planes that will never be flown again.
Ransom Riggs of mental_floss managed to get inside and take some really awesome photographs of the aeroplane graveyard. Some of them are extremely beautiful and serve as great reminders of human engineering.

Telegraph, a newspaper in the UK has come with a poll for Britons to find the 100 most annoying things.
